Qingyuyan is a period-inspired dinner show at Yangpaoju 1862 in Jiangbei, combining staged interiors, dance, games and Sichuan–Chongqing dishes. It is a contemporary commercial experience, not a historic palace or a reconstruction of an authentic court ritual.

What the experience includes

Costume and setting
Ornate palace-inspired sets and costumed attendants create a courtly arrival. Visitors can reserve Hanfu styling and photograph themselves in costume within the set. Ask whether styling is included, how long it takes and what the cancellation terms are.
Yongle market
Before seating, Yongle Market usually opens. Visitors receive copper-coin tokens for period-market games such as pitch-pot and dice, then collect stamps to exchange for small gifts including folding fans. Arrive early enough to collect tokens, play and gather stamps. Activities, rules and gifts vary on the day; these are venue games, not a promise of cash-value winnings.
Dance during dinner
Period-inspired dances include Rainbow Skirt and Feathered Dress, with detailed costumes, hair and makeup. A performance accompanies each course in the 'one dance, one flavour' format, alternating entertainment with the meal. Actual programming and pacing depend on the day's performance.
Throne-dance finale
An optional throne-dance finale invites visitors to sit on the throne while venue staff film a video by drone, intended as a shareable memento. Confirm participation, any charge and video delivery first, with attention to privacy and on-site safety.

Food and expectations

Palace-inspired fusion dishes
We highlight refined plating that combines palace-inspired presentation with heritage Sichuan cooking. Examples include 'Feizi Xiao' (lychee-shaped shrimp balls), 'Curse of the Golden Flower' (pastry-topped maoxuewang), fotiaoqiang and golden shredded pork. Menus vary by package; communicate allergies and dietary needs early.
Atmosphere is the main draw
Approachable Sichuan–Chongqing flavours and generous portions are balanced by mixed views of individual dishes. It suits dates, dinners with friends, company outings and visitors prioritizing period-inspired performances, scenery and photographs. Those seeking only an exceptional meal or the best possible value may find it expensive.

Price, seating and timing

Location
Inside Yangpaoju 1862 cultural park, Jiangbei District. Confirm the entrance, parking and return journey with the venue.
Price
For reference, from about CNY 198 per person depending on package and promotion. This is not a fixed ticket price or a promise that styling and filming are included; no reservation service is provided.
Seating advice
We recommend the centre of row three, warning that front rows may be too close and side seats may face columns. Use the actual seating plan; one preference is not a universal best-seat guarantee.
Arrival sequence
For reference, a typical sequence of market at 11:40, admission at noon and show at 12:30, suggesting extra time for games. Lunch, dinner and date-specific schedules vary; follow the booking and venue notice.
Book styling separately if wanted
We recommend buying through a group-deal platform and reserving Hanfu styling for the full experience. Compare inclusions, authorized sellers, cancellation and timing; optional add-ons are not compulsory.
