Back to Slow ChinaREFUNDS

Fourteen days, no reason needed.

Within 14 days

Write to support@slowchinaguide.com within 14 days of the charge and we refund it in full. You do not have to explain why, and having read the guides does not disqualify you. Include the email address on the account, or the payment provider's order reference if you have it.

After 14 days

We refund after 14 days where a paid guide would not open, the problem was on our side, and we could not fix it within a reasonable time — or where the law where you live requires it. A change of travel plans, or deciding the guides are not for you, is not by itself a ground for a refund after the 14-day window. We would rather you told us what was missing than quietly stopped using the site.

What happens to access

A refund ends access to the paid guides, because the pass travels with the payment. Free guides stay readable: they are free to everyone and were never part of what you paid for. If a refund was a mistake and you want the pass back, write to us and we will restore it.

When the money arrives

We issue the refund to the original payment method as soon as we confirm it. How long it takes to appear is set by your bank or card issuer, typically a few business days; it is not something we can speed up. We cannot refund to a different card or account than the one that paid.

Failed payments

If a payment fails or is interrupted, nothing is owed and nothing is charged twice. Duplicate charges from a double submission are refunded in full — tell us the two order references and we will reverse one.

Chargebacks

If you do not recognise a charge, write to us before contacting your bank. We can usually resolve it the same day, and a chargeback freezes the account for longer than a refund would.
