Shanghai Disney Resort is mainland China's first Disney theme park, combining familiar Disney design with Chinese elements. Plan your day around rides, food and practical timing, with current entertainment confirmed through the official calendar.

- Six pricing tiers have been listed, with CNY 475 on regular days and CNY 599–799 on peak days. Early-purchase savings of around CNY 50 ten days ahead have also been offered. Check the official app for your actual date.

Getting to the resort
- Metro
- Take Line 11 to Disney Resort. Exit 1 is about five minutes from the main entrance and Disneytown; exits 2 or 4 serve Wishing Star Park.
- Ride-hailing
- We recommend Qimiao Road transfer station and the pedestrian bridge as a shorter approach than a generic main-entrance pin.
- Driving and storage
- Check current parking fees for P5, P6 and other lots, and set out early on busy dates. Storage near the main security entrance is listed at about CNY 80 per item; station lockers are another option.
Rides we recommend
- Zootopia: Hot Pursuit
- An immersive Zootopia ride-through with detailed sets and typically long waits; we recommend making it an early priority.
- TRON Lightcycle Power Run
- A high-speed motorbike coaster, especially atmospheric after dark. For reference, a 122cm minimum height.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure
- A large-scale, immersive boat ride with detailed scenery and performer interaction, described as comparatively less queued.
- Soaring Over the Horizon
- A flying-theatre journey around the world. Waits can exceed 100 minutes; choose a quieter period or try the afternoon.
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- A family coaster with moderate thrills; for reference, a 97cm minimum height.
- Roaring Rapids
- A partly indoor rapids ride. We recommend a disposable raincoat, quoting CNY 10 in the park, and a 107cm minimum height.
Our suggested full-day sequence
- Morning priorities
- Enter around 08:20 → Zootopia: Hot Pursuit → Pirates in Treasure Cove → Soaring or Roaring Rapids in Adventure Isle.
- Parade and lunch
- Mickey's Storybook Express has been listed at 12:15 or 15:45. Find a place 20 minutes early, followed by lunch in the park or Disneytown. Check actual showtimes.
- Afternoon
- TRON in Tomorrowland → the Jack Captain stunt show → repeat favourites or choose lower-wait attractions.
- Evening spectacular
- We recommend finding a place in Gardens of Imagination around 19:00 for Illuminate! at 20:00, 20:30 or 21:15. Confirm the actual schedule in the app.
Food and hotels
- Inside the park
- We recommend Barbossa's Bounty and Royal Banquet Hall, with fast food listed at CNY 70–100. Sealed snacks and empty bottles are permitted, and drinking-water points are available.
- Disneytown
- We recommend Disneytown for more choice and lower prices, including the Cheesecake Factory's macaroni and cheese.
- Resort hotels
- We recommend Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, Toy Story Hotel and, from November 2026, Meliá Shanghai Parkside as an official partner within walking distance. Confirm current status and transport details.
Height rules, prohibited items and comfort
