Translate menus, signs, addresses and short conversations. Offline language support helps with basic text when a connection fails; camera and speech features may still differ.

1. Download Chinese and your own language for offline use where your chosen app explicitly supports it.
2. Test typing Chinese, camera translation and a short spoken phrase while you still have reliable WiFi.
3. For allergies, medication or legal matters, use professionally reviewed wording rather than a generic app result.

Check official rail information and book eligible journeys. Passport details and passenger verification must match the actual travel document.

1. Register on the official website or app. Enter the passport name and document details exactly as requested, without improvised abbreviations.
2. Check the passenger's verification status early. If it is pending or rejected, follow the current official support or station process.
3. Save the exact station name, departure date and booking reference offline; similarly named stations are not interchangeable.

Request a ride, show a destination and use available in-app communication features. City coverage, pickup zones, payment and phone requirements can differ.

Manage bookings, receive schedule changes and find official support. A general OTA can be useful but does not replace the operating airline or venue's current notice.

2. Turn on essential notifications, but also check the booking directly before departure.
3. Save Chinese hotel and attraction names, exact addresses and the operating provider—not just screenshots of marketing pages.

Keep essential travel information reachable when an account, app store or connection fails.

1. Save passport and visa copies securely, plus offline flight, hotel and onward-ticket details. Protect sensitive files with device security.
2. Write down your embassy, insurer, bank, hotel and a trusted person's contact in a second place.
3. Use a printed Chinese address and official staffed counter when an app cannot complete the task.
